What type of varnish is best suited for stairs?

Due to frequent wear and tear caused by shoe friction on the steps, it is essential to choose a high-quality varnish to effectively protect a staircase. Ardec usually recommends products such as Finitec 9000 or Bona Traffic HD Anti-Slip.  It is recommended to opt for a floor varnish that offers excellent abrasion resistance to prevent premature varnish wear and the need for a complete re-sanding and frequent revarnishing. Regularly applying a coat of varnish during the renovation of the stair finish will help maintain superior protection and prolong the life of the varnish on the stairs.
